Chia Yang Kue, 69 of Cranston, Rhode Island sadly passed away on February 14th, 2022 after a long battle with Covid 19. Chia was born on January 10th, 1953 in Haib Liaj, Laos. He is the son of the late Xiong Leng Kue and Laj Yaj.

Chia was a man with a heart of gold and would care for anyone around him. Chia served as a Lieutenant in the Special Guerrilla (1969 - 1975) under General Vang Pao, assisting the US CIA in the Vietnam War earning him not only great merits, but refuge as well.

Chia was not only a man of great dedication to his work, but his family as well. He would enjoy many occasions fishing with his family and hunting with his wife. Hearing the laughter of his grandchildren fill his home brought him the greatest of joy. Chia was always up for joining his Hmong community in celebration of the coming new year with his wife dressing as sharply as ever. He would always enjoy telling his tales of his life back in his home country of Laos about his days as a young boy leading to the war. Chia always had a smile that could light up any room wherever he went. His love for his family and friends will forever remain unmeasurable and remembered by everyone he's ever known.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Julie Zer Yang Kue, his four sons, Thomas Kong Meng Kue, Moua Kue and wife Alina Yang, Teng Kue as well as his daughters Seng Kue Woodbine and husband Vince Woodbine, Youa Kue Vang and husband Alone Vang, Pang Foua Kue, Kang Bor Kue and husband Frederick Sayles; 7 grandchildren - Jiraiya, Maliyah, Aerilyn, Scarlett, Alyssa, Davion, and Luxury. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Xwm Kwm and younger sisters Npaub Kwm and Qhua Kwm.
